Since 1998, we have been supporting entrepreneurs, owners, and family businesses in coaching, mediation, and business succession. In over 28 years of practice, we have supported more than 2,000 cases \u2014 from shareholder conflicts and stalled successions to leadership crises that could not be resolved with classic methods. <\/p>\n

Our work is based on SystemEmpowering<\/strong><\/em>, a methodology that resolves conflicts and blockages not on the factual level, but at their systemic root cause. We strengthen inner stability and clarity so that you, as an entrepreneur, can lead from your own strength again. <\/p>\n

As a team at the Hanseatic Institute, we work with the aim of creating framework conditions in which people and organizations can live and work together respectfully, courageously, and responsibly. Founding of the Institute and the emergence of SystemEmpowering<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Hanseatic Institute was founded in 1998 by Dr. Dieter Bischop. He describes himself as a shipowner who sends his ships out into the world to carry SystemEmpowering<\/strong><\/em> into the world. <\/p>\n

His declared goal from the beginning was: making life more worth living \u2014 Power for the people.<\/p>\n

His motto: It must be simple.<\/p>\n

From many years of work with people, teams, and companies, a common approach emerged over time, which was named SystemEmpowering<\/strong><\/em> in 2017 \u2013 with the idea of bringing more power into systems. SystemEmpowering<\/strong><\/em> combines and develops elements from coaching, mediation, NLP, Nonviolent Communication, Constellation Work, business coaching, and other approaches into a unified procedure. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Founder & Director

Dr. Dieter Bischop is the founder of the Hanseatic Institute and the creator of the SystemEmpowering<\/em><\/strong> approach.
His work arose from the combination of scientific thinking and the search for effective ways to resolve personal and systemic conflicts.
From the further development of various methods, a unified procedure emerged over many years, which is used today in coaching, mediation, team processes, and training.<\/p>\n

Annika Dulige is part of the founding team of the Hanseatic Institute and leads the SystemEmpowering<\/strong><\/em> Coach Mediator training. After studying law, she turned to the question of which inner and systemic causes lead to blockages and conflicts in companies and families. Since 2007, she has worked as a coach and mediator, supporting people in change and conflict situations in private and professional systems. <\/p>\n

Jan Schulz<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Jan Schulz is a psychologist (M. Sc.), coach, and mediator at the Hanseatic Institute. Before joining the institute, he served as a naval officer for 13 years, where he combined leadership experience with high responsibility and structured decision-making. He has been part of the SystemEmpowering<\/em><\/strong> team since 2015, joined full-time in 2024, and works with people in personal and professional change and conflict situations. His work combines psychological knowledge with practical leadership experience from complex systems. <\/p>\n

Where our work starts in practice<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We are called in situations where external problems become visible \u2013 such as stalled decisions in the company, unresolved tensions in leadership teams, conflicts between shareholders or family members in succession, or private issues that influence professional actions. In such cases, it often turns out that the actual cause is not the structure, but violations of the System Laws such as exclusion, mistrust, or lack of recognition. <\/p>\n

This is where our work begins. Instead of treating symptoms, we work at the level of these systemic violations, because that is where it is decided whether trust can return, whether cooperation succeeds again, and whether leadership is supported.
